Carved vs. Machine

In this project, I wanted to explore my identity and what is rubbing against me; how to combine handicraft and industrially manufactured design. I have been told that the two do not go together because they have two different values. In this work, I chose to carve on autopilot, just like a machine, and then I applied the carved things with care and reverence to a machine-made table. The different things eat and gnaw on each other, but also form a common unit.
